Tajikistan plans to increase the volume of GDP in 11 years by 2.6 times. The country plans to bring the size of GDP to 207.7 billion somoni by 2030.
Such ambitious plans are provided for in the National Development Strategy of Tajikistan until 2030.
The agency recalls that for the current year, the country's GDP is planned in the amount of 78.2 billion somoni ($ 8.2 billion). Thus, according to the new strategy, by 2030 the volume of GDP will reach more than 207.7 billion somoni.
The main focus is on ensuring the diversification of the economy, including an increase in the production of electricity and industrial goods.
It is noted that with the full implementation of the National Development Strategy of the country, that is, until 2030, the volume of electricity production will increase from the current 18 billion kW / h to 45 billion kW / h.
