The average monthly nominal wage in Tajikistan increased in October 2018 to 1 thousand 302 somoni, which is equivalent to 138 US dollars, reports Asia Plus. 

In September of this year, after raising public sector wages, its average size in the country increased by 14%, amounting to 1 265 somoni ($ 134). The level of real wages (adjusted for inflation) in October rose by 2.1% compared with September, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.

The employees of financial intermediation (banks) receive the highest salary - 3 thousand 186 somoni ($ 338). The lowest salary was in the workers of agriculture and hunting - 541 somoni ($ 57).

According to the study of the Higher School of Economics (Russia), the lowest average monthly nominal wage among the CIS countries last year was in Tajikistan - $ 137.

The average salary in Kazakhstan was $ 459.1, Belarus - $ 421.9, Azerbaijan - $ 306.7, Moldova - $ 308.4, Ukraine - $ 272.9, Kyrgyzstan - $ 216.3.
