Uzbekistan ranked 132 in the new Global Terrorism Index report presented by The Institute for Economics and Peace.

The Institute of Economics and Peace is an analytical center that has developed its own methodology for assessing peaceful tendencies and violence in the life of states from an economic point of view. Researches are made by processing of world and intrastate indicators. In addition to the Global Index of Terrorism, the center annually prepares the Global Index of Peace and other reports.

The Global Terrorism Index reflects the "influence of terrorism" in the country and is based on an analysis of various socio-economic conditions, also the geopolitical factors of radical currents.

In this ranking, the leading lines are occupied by countries in which the activities and the threat of terrorists are highest, and the latter is the safest. Uzbekistan ranked 132 out of 138 possible, which means the almost complete absence of danger from terrorism.

The three leaders of the rating included Iraq, Afghanistan and Nigeria, Russia was in 34th place, the USA - 20, Germany - 39, France - 30.

Tajikistan ranks 74th in the list, Kazakhstan - by 75, Kyrgyzstan is in 80th place, Turkmenistan and Belarus - by 138.
