“Today, the energy complex of Kazakhstan has been replenished with two renewable energy sources (RES). The launch of a solar power station (SES) with a capacity of 1 MW and a wind power station (WPS) with a capacity of 5 MW took place in Almaty. A solemn event on this occasion was held on the territory of the special economic zone “Park of Innovative Technologies”, where the SES is located,” the national energy holding reports.
The project was implemented as part of an agreement between the governments of Kazakhstan and China, and the following were identified as its operators: Samruk-Energo JSC from the Kazakh side, Powerchina Zhongnan Engineering Corp. from the Chinese side. Ltd.
“The Chinese side has built and donated to the ownership of the Kazakh side SES in Almaty and the WPS near the village of Nurly, Enbekshikazakh district of Almaty region. In turn, Samruk-Energy created all the necessary conditions for construction and installation works, including provided construction sites with water supply, electricity, access road from the road to the site, and also provided the necessary assistance to Chinese partners in terms of customs equipment declaration , visa support, registration of the necessary documentation, obtaining permits, quality control of the work performed, and so on,”the message reads.
