The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has set prices for the sale of coins made of precious metals, the press service of the Central Bank reports.
Prices are set from November 28. The price of one gold coin will be 12.7 million soums ($ 1,530). One silver coin can be purchased for 236 thousand soums ($ 28). Earlier it was reported that the Central Bank as a pilot project puts into circulation memorable coins of gold and silver.
These are two kinds of gold and 14 kinds of silver coins made from sample metal 999.9 and weighing 31.1 grams issued in 1994–2009. The total number of coins is 1,900 gold and 6,900 silver.
Commemorative coins are issued in circulation with a certificate of authenticity, confirming their technical characteristics. The coins are made according to the proof technology.
