It is reported by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic.
“On October 3, the first meeting of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh Business Council to hold in Bishkek, the creation of which was initiated by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Chamber of Foreign Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan and supported by the business circles of the two countries. The purpose of the formation of the council is to assist in expanding and strengthening trade and economic cooperation. A business forum with participation of Kyrgyz and Kazakh companies interested in establishing cooperation, finding partners and new sales markets will be held at the meeting of the business council,” the message reads.
The forum participants represent such sectors of the economy as construction, export credit agency, food manufacturers, automotive industry, medical device manufacturers.
“Currently, Kazakhstan is a strategic partner of Kyrgyzstan. The trade turnover between the states amounts to over $500 million. Only as a result of last year’s business forum organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the National Company Kazakh Invest, businessmen of the two countries signed contracts worth over $11 million,” explained in the message.
