Over 54,300 unemployed people were registered in the employment services of Tajikistan at the beginning of August this year, which is 2.9% more than the corresponding period last year, the statistics agency of the country reports.
Of the registered unemployed women accounted for 52.9% (27.5 thousand people). The number of people in the search for work was 83.1 thousand people.
As of the beginning of August 2018, 5,300 people applied for employment in the employment services (18.4% more than in the same period last year), the message reads.
In this period 3,5 thousand people were employed out of the total number of unemployed, which is 33.8% more than the corresponding period of the previous year.
The level of officially registered unemployment to the labor force was 2.3%.
