Over 19,000 cars were produced in Kazakhstan for 8 months of 2018. Their total cost is 117.7 billion tenge, which is 1.6 times more than in the same period last year, said the Minister of Investment and Development Zhenis Kasymbek at the VI Forum of Machine Builders of Kazakhstan.
Automotive industry gives the greatest growth dynamics among all branches of machine building. The reason for the sharp increase in production is the restoration of demand in the market, the opening of export markets, also the program of preferential car loans and leasing financing from the state, which together positively affected the development of the automotive sector.
"So, if in 2017 every third sold car was produced in domestic enterprises, then by the results of 8 months of 2018 every second car sold domestic production. The next year it is planned to continue the program of concessional lending (in the amount of 10 billion tenge) and leasing financing of commercial equipment (30 billion tenge)," the Minister said.
