The Secretary of State of Kazakhstan Gulshara Abdykalikova proposed to create a group of women activists of Central Asia and Afghanistan, and to develop and adopt a program for the development of women's entrepreneurship at the conference "Empowering Women in Afghanistan" in Astana.

"Within the framework of regional cooperation, I propose to discuss and adopt a comprehensive program for the development of women's entrepreneurship with the involvement of international business. In view of the arrival of high-level delegations, countries are also invited to consider the creation of a group of interested women activists from Central Asia and Afghanistan,'' she stressed.

According to her, necessary conditions for expansion of political, economic and social rights and opportunities of women are created in Kazakhstan. They make up more than 50% of the employees of state bodies, and 27% of the composition of the majilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan.
