In connection with the unusual weather for the capital of Kazakhstan and long rains, a number of streets and pedestrian crossings were flooded in the city. As a result — restrictions and complicated traffic, injured pedestrians and car owners, interruptions in the work of public transport, reports the press service of Prime Minister.
Bakytzhan Sagintayev noted that the Head of State had repeatedly criticized this issue. There is an appropriate instruction for the complete solution of the storm sewage system. Akimat bears full responsibility for the situation in the city, including for readiness for this kind of weather conditions and the efficiency of the work of city services.
"I want to emphasize that city residents should not suffer from unscrupulous work of the municipal services of the city," said Sagintayev, stressing that from year to year floods are repeated on the same streets: Momyshuly Avenue, the intersection of Turan Avenue and Uly Dala Street , neighborhoods Barayeva and Molodezhny, etc. It should be noted that according to the forecast of meteorological services, rain can be protracted.
Akim of the city of Astana Asset Issekeshev reported on measures being taken by the akimat aimed at eliminating and preventing such situations. According to the information of the capital akimat, over the past two years a very big leap has been made in the city's storm sewage system.
"Last year, we completed the purification facilities of Turan – Uly Dala, on 31 streets, in the village of Koktal, Alley Mynzhydyk, Seifullin streets. For one year the reconstruction was completed at an accelerated pace with the transfer of treatment plants Turan – Syganak, the diversion of the collector 15 km for the discharge of the treated waters in Ishim Beisekova – Kurgaldzhin highway – Prigorodny," said Akim of Astana.
Akimat keeps the issue under special control. Issekeshev said that in Astana it is planned to create an enterprise for tapping storm sewage, which will keep the whole system on balance and carry out storm drainage services. The enterprise is planned to be created on the basis of "Astana-Tazalyk."
Following the consideration of the issue, Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev instructed the Ministry of National Economy, in conjunction with the Astana akimat, to work out this issue. Akimat was instructed in the near future to take the necessary measures to prevent such situations, to strengthen the work of municipal services.
Sagintayev instructed to take on special control the issues of timely cleaning storm structures, water intake wells and develop a set of measures for the organization and installation of storm drainage structures on problem areas of the city, where flooding occurs "systematically."
In the five-year plan for the development of the capital, the Prime Minister instructed to focus on storm sewage. First Deputy Prime Minister Askar Mamin was instructed to review the Draft Master Plan before its consideration in the Government.
