The President of Uzbekistan awarded Emomali Rahmon with the order "Al Yurt Khurmati", reports the press service of the president of Tajikistan.

"Tajik President Emomali Rahmon was awarded this highest state award of the Republic of Uzbekistan for his outstanding personal contribution to strengthening the strong centuries-old ties of friendship, deepening the relations of good-neighborliness and mutual understanding, expanding the historically established multifaceted cultural, humanitarian, spiritual and economic ties between the brotherly Uzbek and Tajik peoples, the message reads.
