The agreement on strategic partnership was signed by Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, reports the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.

"27 documents in various fields were signed by Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. The Presidents signed an agreement on the results of the talks held at the Kuksaroy residence at the highest level. The Strategic Partnership Agreement between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Tajikistan defines the goals of establishing long-term and sustainable partnership relations, strategic directions of bilateral cooperation," the message reads.

Also they adopted a joint statement by the heads of state.

"Signed 27 documents on cooperation in industry, standardization and certification, border crossing, recognition of documents on education, geodesy and geology, agriculture, culture and other areas. In particular, agreements on trade and economic, scientific, technical and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between Surkhandarya and Khatlon, Samarkand and Sogd regions were adopted," the report says.
