In October, the first Uzbek-Russian interregional forum to hold in Tashkent, the Uzbek Telegraph Agency (UzTAG) reports.

The issues of preparation for it were discussed on July 26 during the meeting in which the Minister of Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev and the adviser-ambassador, the charge d'affaires in the affairs of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Uzbekistan Vadim Mitrofanov took part.

"Today's meeting is very timely. Such a major event requires careful preparation. The first Uzbek-Russian interregional forum will serve as an impetus for a significant increase in cooperation between business circles of the two countries, "Mitrofanov stressed at the meeting.

The parties expressed interest in the development of direct cooperation between the regions of the two states in business, transport and the development of cooperation ties.
