Uzbekistan intends to set up industrial processing of Artemia of the Aral Sea, the "News of Uzbekistan" reports.

The Cabinet issued a resolution "On measures for the rational use of the Artemia bioresource of the Aral Sea, increasing the volume of industrial processing and the production of finished products on the basis of cysts of the Aral Artemia."

Association of harvesters and processors of Artemia cysts in the Aral Sea to deal with the implementation of programs for the rational use of natural resources, the organization of deep industrial processing and the production of products aimed at export.

Also, the products to transfer to fish farms for the cultivation of fish larvae. Thus, experts hope to increase production volumes.

Artemia - a kind of crustaceans from the order of the gill-legged, is found in salt water. Besides Uzbekistan, on the territory of Central Asia meets on the East coast of the Caspian Sea and Tengiz Lake in Kazakhstan.

Usually, Artemia is used as a food for fish.

Nowadays, the country has a program for the development of the Aral Sea area, designed for 2017-2021. The government is implementing measures to improve the environmental situation.
