Uzbekistan is ranked 39 (out of 136) out of countries currently considered for the annual GFP review, analyses the analytical company "Military Strength Ranking". Last year, Uzbekistan ranked 48th in this rating.
The armed forces of Uzbekistan possess 420 tanks, 179 (in 2017 it was 166) with airplanes, 715 infantry fighting vehicles, 143 self-propelled guns, 880 guns and 109 systems of volley fire. The annual military budget of Uzbekistan is $70 million.
The top three leaders are the nuclear powers of the US, Russia, China. Among the post-Soviet countries, Ukraine has risen above all - it occupies the 29th position. This is followed by Uzbekistan (39th line), Belarus (41st line), Kazakhstan (50th line), Azerbaijan (53rd line), Turkmenistan (80th line), Georgia (82nd line), Armenia (84th line), Kyrgyzstan (91st line), Tajikistan (96th line), Latvia (105th line), Estonia (108th line).
