Uzbekistan and JSC "First Channel" of Russia to create a joint television channel, reports in Tashkent during the meeting of the Minister of Information Technologies of Uzbekistan Azim Ahmedkhodzhayev with the Deputy Minister of Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation Alexei Volin.

"During the conversation, the Russian side acquainted the Uzbek colleagues with the transition to digital television broadcasting in Russia and proposed solutions of Russian platforms for the organization of mobile television. In addition, the sides discussed the issue of creating a joint channel with JSC "First Channel", the message says.  Several representatives of TV channels such as "Russia Today", "First Channel", "Russia 24" participated to the meeting.

The meeting also discussed the issue of attracting Russian filmmakers for the filming of documentary films and programs about prominent figures in Uzbekistan, as well as holding regular forums and seminars for the press services of state bodies of Uzbekistan.
