Three airports of Uzbekistan in Samarkand, Urgenish and Namangan will be managed by the Russian company "Novaport" holding.
A preliminary agreement on this was signed following the results of intergovernmental negotiations that took place during the visit of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev to Tashkent.
On June 6, a representative of "Novaport" announced that the agreement, which outlines the basis for cooperation between the holding and the government of Uzbekistan on the modernization of airports in Samarkand, Urgenish and Namangan, was signed on May 30 in Tashkent.
According to them, after signing the final document, the three airports on the basis of a concession agreement will be transferred to the management of the Russian holding for a long time.
