Kazakhstan's Ministry of Education and Science published a draft order on the approval of the schedule for the transition of the Kazakh alphabet to the Latin schedule before 2025 in educational institutions.
According to the schedule, from 2019 to 2025 it is planned to organize refresher courses for teachers of general secondary education organizations taking into account the transition to the Latin schedule. The department expects that courses will be held by more than 192,000 teachers.
The planned schedule of transition of training on Latin schedule:
0, 1 grades - 2020
0, 1 plus 2 classes - 2021
0, 1, 2 plus grade 3 - 2022
0, 1, 2, 3 plus 4th class - 2023 year
0, 1, 2, 3, 4 plus 5-9 grades - 2024
0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5-9 plus 10, 11 classes - 2025
The planned schedule for the translation of textbooks and teaching and methodological complexes into Latin script:
0 class (preschool) - 2018 year
1st class - 2019 year
2nd class - 2020
Grade 3 - 2021
4th grade - 2022
Grades 5-9 - 2023
The re-publishing of textbooks on the Latin chart for all subjects for general schools with Kazakh language of instruction, for the academic subjects "Kazakh language and literature" for schools with non-Kazakh language of instruction and organization of the purchase of textbooks by local executive bodies is planned as follows:

1st grade - 2020
2nd class - 2021

10-11 grades - 2025 year
Recall, a new version of the Kazakh alphabet in Latin alphabet Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev approved in February 2018.
