In Syria, 67 children from the Atyrau region are in the conflict zone, said a head of the department for religious affairs of Atyrau region Kairulla Kushkaliyev, reports ATP press.
He noted that since 2011, went to Syria 54 adult residents of Atyrau region. Some married couples left with children. According to the latest information, now 67 children from the Atyrau region are in the conflict zone in Syria. Of these, two have already turned 18 years old, 34 children of school age and 31 preschoolers.
"Last year there were 35 such students. After meeting and talking with their families 10 students returned to their country," he stressed.
In 2017, National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported that 63 children returned to Kazakhstan.
