Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan signed a plan of measures to develop tourism in 2018, said Kazakhstan’s Minister of Culture and Sports Arystanbek Mukhamediuly, on the sidelines of the 17th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
'There are international tourists who come to Kazakhstan and wish to visit the historical places of Uzbekistan, and vice versa. The whole world is now moving together, and in this respect, the plans that we have outlined are realistic and promising'.
'The economic effect will be colossal and mutually beneficial. The region now has additional air, rail and road connections, and, of course, the two countries now agree that those visas that are valid on the territory of Uzbekistan are valid in Kazakhstan and vice versa - who came to Kazakhstan could visit Uzbekistan, ' he said.
