Former chairman of the National Security Committee, Nartai Dutbayev responded in the Muratkhan Tokmady's trial.
Muratkhan Tokmady's trial are going on inTaraz, he is a suspect in the murder of chairman of BTA bank Yerzhan Tatishev. During the trial, the public prosecutor applied claim to get respond from the former NSC chairman Nartai Dutbaev as a witness. The prosecutor's claim was satisfied by the court.
Former Chairman of the National Security Committee, Nartai Dutbayev, who was found guilty in the case of "publishing government secrecy" and "stealing large amount of money" in 2017, confirmed that he was working with a political opposition activist Mukhtar Abilyazov in 2004 during the investigation. As stated by Dutbaev, he helped Abilyazov to get information by observing Tatishev's cell phone.
The prosecutor asked a question Dutbayev: "Did you know that Abilyazov uses this information to kill Tatishev?". He answered: "No, I did not know about it. I thought that this information is gathering in order to talk with Tatishev. I did not know that he can use this information to kill Tatishev".
Recall, media reported that on March 8, Muratkhan Tokmady escaped from the Zhambyl regional hospital. Later, on March 9, the National Security Service announced that he was detained.
