Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said that 20 000 grants to allocate students and solve the problem with hostels in the coming years, during the joint session of Parliament.

"In 2018-2019 academic year, additional 20 000 grants must be allocated on top of the annually allocated 54 000. Of these, 11,000, if necessary even more, must be given for bachelors training in technical fields that will be in demand in the new economy under the conditions of the fourth industrial revolution" the President tasked.

Also, the President instructed by the end of 2022 to ensure the construction of new student dormitories for not less than 75,000 seats. This will completely solve the problem with places for the coming years.

 Recall, today, the President announced five new social initiatives, which in the near future need to be implemented in the country.
