The the Ministry of the Interior of Uzbekistan initiated a case aginst to the former deputy prosecutor of the Tashkent city, 68-year-old Miraglam Mirzaev (nicknamed "Antibiotic"). Mirzaev's wife and son were detained within the criminal case. This was reported by the Central Asian News Service.
According to the Interior Ministry, a 42-year-old Abdurashid Mirzaev (son of Miraglam Mirzaev), head of Tashkent city department of National Security Service, and Muhabbat Hasanova, Chairwoman of the Bar Association of Yunusabad district of Tashkent ( wife of Miragam Mirzaev, nicknamed "Cardinal") were arrested.
Neighbor of Miraglam Mirzayev told that on February 23 a group of black masked men came his home and took Mirzaev with them.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Miraglam Mirzaev and his wife Muhabbat Hasanova were detained on the case of former Prosecutor General Rashid Kadyrov.
A 45-year-old Ulugbek Sunnatov, who was the deputy of the former Prosecutor General and Zhamshid Faiziev who was the adviser to President Islam Karimov, were detained in the criminal case against the former General Prosecutor.
Miraglam Mirzayev was one of the most influential people in Uzbekistan's prosecutor's office. President Shavkat Mirziyaoyev, after criticizing the security forces, immediately dismissed him.
