130 parents of schoolchildren received administrative fines for unwillingness to comply with the school dress code in the Southern Kazakhstan, reports Isatai Sagyndykov, the head of the regional education department.
He mentioned that headscarfs and other religious attributes are worn by almost 400 schoolchildren of the region's schools. Policemen, teachers and religious figures will follow the observance of the norms of the secular state in the educational institutions of the region.
"Now there are 398 pupils wearing headscarfs at the school, in January 2017 there were about 600 of them. Last year 28 teachers wore handscarfs - they are in Sairam district, Saryagash and Maktaaral. For today after the explanatory work, only 6 teachers continue to teach in Muslim attire. 130 administrative fines were imposed on parents who refused to obey the order of the Ministry of Education about the school uniform", said Isatai Sagyndykov.
