Short-term economic indicator in January 2018 to January 2017 was 104.7%, the press service of Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee of the Ministry of National Economy.
Per statistics, the volume of industrial production in January is estimated at T2181 billion in current prices, which is 5.2% more than in January 2017. In mining and quarrying, production increased by 4.5%, in manufacturing - by 6.2%, in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning - by 6.4%. In the water supply, sewage system, control over the collection and distribution of waste, production declined by 3.3%.
The volume of investments in fixed assets in January 2018 reached KZT636.9 billion, which is 65.4% more than in January 2017.
The volume of gross output of products (services) of agriculture, forestry and fisheries in January amounted to KZT113.4 billion (+ 3.7%).
In the "Transport" branch, the physical volume index in January 2018 was 104%. The volume of cargo turnover reached 45.4 billion tkm (including an estimate of the turnover of individual entrepreneurs engaged in commercial transport), or 107.9% by January 2017. The volume of passenger turnover was 22.4 billion pkm and grew by 4.9%.
In the Svyaz industry, the physical volume index in January 2018 was 104.4%.
Recall, the calculation of the short-term economic indicator is carried out to ensure promptness and is based on changing the indices of output in the basic sectors: agriculture, industry, construction, trade, transport and communications, accounting for more than 60% of GDP.
