Oil production at the offshore Kashagan field in the Atyrau region has approached 300 thousand barrels per day, said Antonio Vella, Chief Operating Officer of ENI, Exploration and Production.
"The plant is well designed; oil production is conducted in accordance with the established parameters. Daily production at Kashagan approached the mark of 300 thousand barrels per day. The world's leading technologies for flaring associated gas are being used", he said during the meeting.
"The most important thing is that when developing the field and extracting hydrocarbons, consider the environmental component of the project and the need to comply with the environmental legislation of Kazakhstan. In addition, it is worth paying attention to increasing the share of local content in goods and services purchased by project participants, and, not least, employment of local personnel in production", said Mayor of Atyrau region N. Nogayev,
Recall, in 2018 at the Kashagan field is planned to produce about 10 million tons of oil. During this year, it is planned to increase production to 370,000 barrels per day.
