To more accurately determine the composition of products labelled "halal" offer to conduct a DNA analysis, reports Kazakhstan's Chairman of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology Dugalov.
‘The Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan is working on this issue. With SAMK there is an appropriate organization that is engaged in the identification and certification of halal goods. A number of standards for products and processes have already approved. The work is being carried out jointly with the Malaysian department, which approves such standards, based on the Malaysian experience’, said Galymzhan Dugalov.
"The laboratories can be accredited with us, there will be an appropriate test and research," concluded Dugalov.
Halal is all that is permitted and permissible in Islam. According to international certification, halal products should not contain ingredients that contain animal blood, pork, alcohol, meat of carnivores, and animals that are stabbed without meeting the requirements of Islam.
The holders of "halal" certificates replace the products banned for Muslims by those that meet the requirements of Islam.
