At the end of 2017, 13.8 thousand people lost their jobs due to staff cuts or liquidation of enterprises, reports the Committee on Statistics of Kazakhstan.
"Among them, own wish or in connection with the violation of labour discipline - 77.4%. In connection with the reduction in the number of personnel or liquidation of the enterprise - 6.8%, for other reasons - 15, 8%", reports mentioned.
At the same time, in the fourth quarter of 2017, 189.5 thousand people found a job. In six percent of cases, employers were unable to find a replacement for retired employees. The enterprises declared another 27.3 thousand vacancies.
The statistics noted that they observe a high turnover of staff. People often write an application for dismissal on their own or lose their jobs because of violations of labour discipline. The highest turnover rate is observed in Astana and Almaty. The yield factor in these cities is 8.7 and 8.1, respectively. The average for Kazakhstan is 5.7.
The smallest number of job-changers in Kyzylorda, Zhambyl regions, as well as in the North Kazakhstan region - no more than five thousand resigned and approximately the same number of people employed. Residents of Almaty change most of the work. For the quarter in the city, almost 80 thousand people left their jobs, about 90 thousand have found a new job.
