American magazine US News & World Report published a rating of the best countries in the world, covering 80 countries. In the survey, 21 000 people participated in the world.
During the year, Kazakhstan rose one place in the rating and took the final 70th place with a total score of 0.5 points out of 10. Kazakhstan received the best rating in the category ‘Openness for business’ - 3.1 points, but in comparison with other countries, this also corresponds only to the 70th place. 41st place Kazakhstan took in the category ‘Strength and influence in the world arena’ and only 76th - in the category ‘Cultural influence’. In terms of living standards, Kazakhstan was on the 64th place.
The first place in the ranking is Switzerland. Then, Canada, Germany, Great Britain, Japan, Sweden and Australia, the US, France and the Netherlands follow it. The 20th place among the best countries in the world was occupied by China, the 26th by Russia, the 72nd by Belarus.
