The retirement age for ballet dancers will not be reduced in Kazakhstan, vice minister of labour and social protection of population of the Republic of Kazakhstan said Svetlana Zhakupova.
The Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Arystanbek Mukhamediuly raised the issue of reducing the retirement age for ballet dancers at a government hour in the Majlis of the Parliament in Astana.
'There are two sides of the question of pensions such as material and the moral side. After 40 years to go on the stage is ridiculous. The moral side, we cannot throw out on the street them, they remain in the job to somehow support them. However, we close the way for young talents, despite the fact that the job is limited. A person who receives money in 50 years, but does not go on stage, feels like an extra burden. That is why most of them ask to dismiss from work. A person who has studied all his life for a ballet, certainly will not go to the economist or to play on instruments. In 60 years to play instruments such as a trumpet, a trombone is physiologically impossible' Minister of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan Arystanbek Mukhamediuly mentioned.
However, 'the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection does not consider the issue of reducing the retirement age for ballet dancers, orchestra employees' Svetlana Zhakupova.
Vice Speaker of the Majilis Gulmira Isimbayeva also reminded that 'Kazakhstan is only one country in the post-Soviet countries that cannot solve the issue with the ballet dancers. The question is not whether his pension will be more or small, but in the physiological situation of a person for the performance of certain functions. We should not force people to use the annuity if they do not want it'.
Recall, in Kazakhstan, the retirement age for women is 58 years, for men is 63. However, starting from 2018 until the end of 2027 , under the new legislation, this age for women will gradually increase to 63 years.
