A court of the Zhambyl region has detained a citizen of Kyrgyzstan who brought a forbidden in Kazakhstan religious book. This was reported by the Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Administrative proceedings were considered in district court of Kordai . As stated by the press service of the court, a man was held accountable under Article 453 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Administrative Violations.

As it turned out, the banned religious book was discovered on March 8 by border guards at the Kordai checkpoint. A citizen of Kyrgyzstan acknowledged his guilt and said that he did not know that the book "Selected Hadis's" is banned in Kazakhstan and it is a gift from his friend.

The court acknowledged that the citizen was guilty and fined him with 100 monthly calculation indices or 240,000 tenge. The book was confiscated and the court order came into force.
