On November 30, 2017, in Zhezkazgan region, Kazakhstan more than 300 Kazakh miners  of the copper corporation Kazakhmys refused to come out after a night shift their work. They stopped to work, demanding higher wages from their employer Kazakhmys,  'KazINFO Today' reports.

The miners require increasing salaries by 70 percent, a recalculation of pensions, free treatment in health resorts, the return of buildings to the ownership of the corporation, training in colleges and a meeting with the head of the company Eduard Ogay.

"We tried to establish a dialogue between employees of Kazakhmys Corporation and its management. Employees of the corporation always come to us with their problems. However, the leadership did not listen, and categorically refused to listen to us. Now,  the problems resulted in a strike',  the regional representative of the Republican Trade Union 'Amanat'  Berik Zhagiparov said.

Now, no one is are not being allowed to enter the mine, police officers are on duty at the checkpoint. The workers refuse to talk to managers of corporation and want to talk with the Chairman of the Board of LLP Corporation Kazakhmys Eduard Ogay.
