As part of a criminal investigation into former President Almazbek Atambayev, the Prosecutor General’s Office lifted the arrest from 20 units of real estate.

The arrest was removed from an apartment building in the Jal-23 microdistrict in Bishkek, 18 apartments of the same house, including the association of legal entities “Association of Television and Radio Organizations”, one of the founders of which is "April-TV".

In total, in the framework of the investigation of the illegal release of the crime boss Aziz Batukayev, as well as the illegal enrichment of the former president, 135 units of movable and immovable property of Almazbek Atambayev and his close relatives were arrested.

20 real estate units have been removed from custody, taking into account studies of documents and inspections, as well as investigative actions, the Prosecutor General explains. Investigators are also looking for other illegally acquired material wealth.

Former President Almazbek Atambayev was detained on August 8 at his home in the village of Koy-Tash near Bishkek. By decision of the court, he was to be kept in the SCNS pre-trial detention center until August 26. On August 20, the Pervomaisky district court, at the request of the prosecution, extended the sentence until October 26.
