President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Suma Chakrabarti to visit, the EBRD office in Tajikistan informs.

On June 1, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will be received by President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

Suma Chakrabarti’s meetings with the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tatarstan Fayziddin Kahhorzoda and the Minister of Energy and Water Resources Usmonali Usmonzoda are also scheduled.

Also, the President of the EBRD will meet with representatives of small and medium-sized businesses and will take part in a public event. This is the second visit of President Sumy Chakrabarti to Tajikistan. The first visit took place in 2014.

To date, the EBRD has invested about 673 million Euros ($ 755 million) in 127 projects in various sectors of the economy of Tajikistan.
