Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed to build a nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan using Russian technologies.
“We are proposing to switch to new forms of interaction, I mean, first of all, the possibility of building a nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan using Russian technologies,” Putin told reporters after talks with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The President of the Russian Federation said that cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan in the field of the peaceful atom is currently developing. "There are six Russian-Kazakh enterprises for the extraction and enrichment of uranium," he said.
Tokayev arrived in Russia on Wednesday with his first official visit as President of Kazakhstan.
