In the first year of operation, it is planned to transport up to one million passengers at prices two times lower than that of Air Astana.

"Also within the framework of the implementation of the order of the Head of State this year, the Ministry together with Air Astana will take measures to open air links with Japan, New York, Shanghai and other major cities of the world. This year we will begin the accreditation procedure for flights in the US The Ministry has prepared a draft intergovernmental agreement on air traffic between Kazakhstan and the United States, which is scheduled to be signed in March of this year, " Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development R.Sklyar said.

He also added that the number of transit passengers in 2018 increased by 45 percent (2017 - 620 thousand people) and amounted to 900 thousand people. In 2020, the number of transit passengers, according to the ministry, will be 1.6 million people.
