Russia provided military equipment to Tajikistan.
According to the press service of the National Security Treaty Organization, Russia has donated 9 million dollars worth of military equipment to Tajikistan. The aid was provided after the agreement of the Presidents of two countries. Devices include air defense systems and radar stations to detect aircraft and other airborne objects.
Recall, earlier, the Russian side made a statement saying that militants of the "Islamic state" terrorist organization are gathering on the territory of Tajikistan's border with Afghanistan, they are transported via helicopters from Pakistan. However, Tajik authorities denied this statement of Russia and said they are controlling completely the border with Afghanistan.
