Uzbekistan and India have agreed on the supply of uranium, press service of the President reports.

“On January 18, within the framework of the Dynamic Gujarat international summit in Gandinagar, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” the message reads.

The visit of the President of Uzbekistan to India is a continuation of the dialogue at the highest level, also another evidence of the consistently strengthening friendship and partnership between the two countries.

During the meeting, as follows, questions of practical implementation of the agreements reached and agreements signed following the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to India in October 2018, as well as prospects for expanding Uzbek-Indian multifaceted cooperation, were considered. The intensification of interaction in all directions for the past period after the visit was underlined.

Last week, the first meeting of foreign ministers of the Dialogue "India-Central-Asia" with the participation of Afghanistan was held in Samarkand.
