Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdullah Aripov has criticized former president Islam Karimov's policies.
Abdullah Aripov made a statement regarding migrants working abroad at the annual meeting of the women's committee in Tashkent on December 22.
"Why do people need to look for a job in another country? Because we did not create conditions for work here. What we have done so far is to form the notion that "the one who works abroad is lazy". If so, we have to find a job for those who are not lazy here", - noted Prime Minister.
Recall, in 2013, ex-president of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov called Uzbek people who went to work abroad as "losers" and and also said that those migrants who work abroad downgrade the Uzbek nation.
In addition, during the presidency of Islam Karimov, the Uzbek government issued statistical data annually about 1 million new jobs created in the country.
