It is reported by the press service of the Ministry for Investment and Development reports.
"At the meeting of the interdepartmental commission reports, Kazakhstan is not a "forest"country and to date the enterprises of the cardboard and paper industry in the country use 100% recycled paper, cardboard and waste paper as raw materials. In this regard, to prevent a deficit in the Kazakhstan market, there is a need to ban the removal of waste paper from the territory of our country," the statement reads.
Following the meeting, a decision was made on the expediency of introducing a ban on the removal of waste paper from the territory of Kazakhstan.
Recall, in 2016, when the ban was introduced for 6 months for the export of recycled paper, cardboard, waste paper and waste, the volume of production in physical terms increased 1.5 times as compared to 2015 and amounted to 141.2 thousand tons.
