To date, 307 foreign TV and radio channels have been registered in Kazakhstan, wrote Dauren Abaev on his Facebook pages.
To regulate their activities at the beginning of the year, the Ministry amended the legislation, according to which all foreign television channels are required to open their representative offices in Kazakhstan. They were given a half-year gap to fulfill new requirements. 219 TV channels have now fulfilled this requirement. According to the remaining 88 channels, the ministry has prepared orders to stop broadcasting in the country.
More information is available on the Ministry's website.
