In January-April 2018, the extraction of uranium in Kazakhstan decreased by 3.2% compared to the same period last year, the press service of the Ministry of Energy of  Kazakhstan reports.

"The volume of uranium mining amounted to 7137 tons, which is 96.8% compared to the same period in 2017. The decline in this indicator is due to the unfavorable price in the world uranium market" the statement reads.
