The son of the Turkmen president will participate in the parliamentary elections. This was reported by the ca-portal.
According to local mass media, son of Kurbanguly Berdymukhamedov Serdar Berdimukhamedov will take part in the parliamentary elections on March 25. He will run for office on behalf of the Dushak electoral district №25 of Akhal region. Serdar's rival will be Ogulzheren Gurdova, a resident of Kaka city, deputy director of the school.
For the first time in the history of Turkmenistan, three parties will take part in the upcoming parliamentary elections. In addition to the Democratic Party of Berdymukhamedov, the party "Agrarlar" and the party of "Industrialists and Entrepreneurs" will participate in this election. But the last two will play the role of a "political doll".
At present, a 36-year-old Serdar Berdimukhamedov is a deputy of the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan, as well as he is head of the parliament's norms and law committee. Representatives of the state media are called him "sons of the people". There was no information about Serdar earlier. However, in recent years his political activity in the country has increased. In 2017, he several times came to the Russian Federation as a representative of official Turkmenistan. According to foreign experts, Kurbanguly Berdymukhamedov's son Serdar Berdimukhamedov will be his successor.
