According to the press service of the Supreme Council, Dastanbek Zhumabekov sent a letter to Nurlan Nigmatulin asking him to assist in organizing a criminal case against citizens of Kyrgyzstan detained in Kazakhstan on February 15, in accordance with all international and fair requirements, and to organize a meeting with a member of the Kyrgyzstan faction, Damirbek Asylbekuly.

Recall, earlier, the General Prosecutor's Office of Kazakhstan claimed that there were 3 Kyrgyz citizens among 35 persons detained during a special operation in Almaty, Zhambyl and South Kazakhstan regions on February 15-16. Subsequently, then identified that one of them is a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of Kyrgyzstan Damirbek Asylbekuly.
