Kazakh bloggers will not be given money to explain the transition to the Latin alphabet, reports Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Culture. An inconsistent document was posted on the e-government portal. The employee who made a mistake will be punished.
Deputy chairman of the Committee for the Development of Languages , G. Meldeshov said that widespread information about the involvement of bloggers in explanatory work in the Latin alphabet was the result of an official error.
‘Thanks to publications in the media, it was revealed that an inconsistent draft of the Action Plan for the phased transfer of the Kazakh alphabet to the Latin script until 2025 was posted on the portal of the Electronic Government. We would like to bring to the attention of the public that allocation of funds for outreach in social networks is not envisaged’, said the official of the Ministry of Culture and Sports.
