"Bill Gerstenmayer deputy director of the United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) plans to go to Kazakhstan for the launch, coming on March 14," said Assistant Head of NASA Public Relations and Press Bettina Inclan.
On March 14, the first manned launch to the International Space Station (ISS) in 2019 is scheduled, which will be carried out using the Soyuz-FG launch vehicle. It is expected that W. Gerstenmayer will be present at the launch at the Baikonur cosmodrome.
“On the Soyuz MS-12 spacecraft, the Russian cosmonaut Alexei Ovchinin, also the American astronauts Nick Haig and Christina Koch are supposed to go to the station. Ovchinin and Haig were supposed to arrive at the station in October 2018, however, this was prevented by the Soyuz-FG launch vehicle crash on October 11,” the message reads.
