For the citizens of Kyrgyzstan, on December 10, 2018, the terms of the “migration amnesty” were completed, the embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Russia reports.

In this regard, the further stay of the citizens of Kyrgyzstan on the territory of Russia to regulate in accordance with the current legislation of the Russian Federation. At the same time, the possibility of strengthening migration control by the competent authorities of the Russian Federation is not excluded.

According to the management of the competent state bodies of the Russian Federation, about 100 thousand citizens of Kyrgyzstan took advantage of the “migration amnesty”, that is, more than 50% of the illegal citizens of Kyrgyzstan who are in Russia who have violations of the rules of migration legislation of the Russian Federation. This allowed these Kyrgyz citizens to legalize their stay in Russia and avoid being included in the “black list”. Also, within the framework of this “migration amnesty” to 5 thousand 488 citizens of Kyrgyzstan, the ban on entry to Russia was lifted.

In this regard, the embassy recommends the citizens of Kyrgyzstan to extinguish the existing fines for administrative offenses provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation and bring the documents into line with the purposes of their stay.
