The Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan stated that they have no complaints regarding the author and the caricature of Sooronbai Zheenbekov. The President knew about the memes as well as readers from social networking sites, says on a official statement of the apparatus.
“The work of the caricaturist caused laughter from the head of state. And they didn’t remember about this work until the information of the Prosecutor General’s Office about the fact that they called the author. It was an unpleasant surprise for the staff of President”, - says on the statement.
So, earlier, Bishkek designer Nikita Tarasenko distributed on the Internet several memes with photos of the press service of the head of state, in which Sooronbai Zheenbekov was captured during the summer holidays. On September 29, designer was summoned to the General Prosecutor’s Office for him to write an explanatory letter.
As stated by the author of the Mems, a certain citizen addressed the prosecutor’s office with a statement that “Tarasenko is mocking the President.” After that, he received a call from the General Prosecutor's Office and was invited to an interview.
The designer added that he did not get any warnings to him and “the employees are normal, no one threatened”.
