The presidents of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan discussed the prospects for the development of relations between the two states, TajikTa reports.
"Today in Dushanbe, Emomali Rahmon and Shavkat Mirziyoyev discussed the current state and prospects of the relations between the two states," reports press service of Tajikstan. In the context of Tajik-Uzbek cooperation and the prospects for its development, the Presidents spoke in favor of further joint efforts to promote partnership relations between the two countries.
According to the State Agency for Statistics of the Republic of Tajikistan, the trade turnover between the two countries for the eight months of this year amounted to more than $ 192.6 million, which is 2.3 times more than the same period last year. Exports of Tajik goods to Uzbekistan were carried out for more than $ 111.8 million, and Uzbekistan imported goods - more than $ 80.8 million.
