Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov met with the ex-first lady of the Russian Federation, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Presidential Center BN. Yeltsin Naina Yeltsin, who arrived in Kyrgyzstan on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, reports the press service of the President.
The President expressed gratitude for her visit to Kyrgyzstan and participation in the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU), named after the first President of the Russian Federation, Boris Nikolaevich Yeltsin.
"This university is one of the most successful projects of Kyrgyz-Russian relations. All these years KRSU successfully fulfills the high mission entrusted to it - it preserves a single educational and scientific space, promotes new knowledge and technologies. For students who will receive scholarships from your hands today, this will be an additional incentive to get an education," the President said.
S.Jeenbekov invited Naina Iosifovna to participate in the international Issyk-Kul forum of intellectuals, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Chyngiz Aitmatov.
